Library Book Exchange - There has been a problem with the system, so students will need to wait patiently until it is resolved before borrow any new books. Thank you for your understanding. There are plenty of books to read in class during silent reading, so no need to worry about a lack of reading time. La santé Le guide alimentaire Canadien Savais-tu que le guide alimentaire canadien à changer? Yes, it's true. The Canada Food Guide has gone through a change. Did you know that there are now three categories of healthy foods to choose from? Students worked on creating their own plate "assiette" of healthy foods from each of the three food groups. They also learned the importance of replacing juice and sugary drinks like Gatorade and Powerade with plain WATER! La vente de garage c'était un grand succès! Merci à tous les élèves de quatrième année pour une bonne journée! La gentillesse et les poèmes acrostiche - FLA Writing
During the month of May, students have been exploring the virtue of kindness, la gentillesse. In celebration of this, they created an acrostic poem in French using the words gentil, gentille or gentillesse. Ask them to tell you difference between each word. Did you know an acrostic poem is a poem written vertically using one word or theme and then words to describe that main word? Students had to use their dictionary skills to search for appropriate adjectives to describe kindness. Here are some examples of their work. The poems are coming home to share with you this weekend.
Structure Stroll Today, students got a chance to strolled around and look at projects from Mme W and Mme Pelleau's grade three classrooms as well as share their learning with peers. Looks like they passed the 1 kg test. Check out Hayden and Ralph's bridge! It can hold THEM BOTH! Incroyable les amis! If you would like to see more about the structure building project, please check out your child's IRIS page. There are photos of their projects and there will be videos to follow in the near future. Students are currently working on tallying up their final budgets for construction and preparing for their oral presentations. Bravo tout le monde! Thursday Updates:
